IE Market Research Corporation (IEMR) runs the world’s largest mobile telecoms and mobile media-specific consumer panel. With over 2.5 million+ panelists and a focus on their mobile telecoms and mobile media consumption patterns, our coverage of the mobile consumer is unprecedented in our industry.
We provide highly profiled samples, representing 80% of the world’s population and 85% of the world’s mobile subscriber base. IEMR’s ONEConsumer Panel is conducted in nine languages, depending on respondent preferences and in four quarterly waves.
ONEConsumer is accessed by some of the world’s largest companies in the telecoms value chain including mobile carriers, handset vendors, systems integrators, and media companies.
Client use cases include:
>> Brand strength tracking studies
>> Consumers’ usage of mobile media
>> Youth market analytics and tracking
>> New services and consumer views on these
>> Handset Market Share metrics
>> Postpaid customer churn metrics
>> Sensitivity of ARPU to new service launches
IEMR’s ONEConsumer Panel contains over 2.5 million panelists in over 60 countries globally. This represents over 85% of the world's mobile population.
Most panel providers and survey companies are generalists in their domain. These companies will do surveys for a wide range of
clients and industries. As a result, their recruitment questions are general and the quality of their panels as it applies to telecoms and IT demand trends is questionable.
In contrast, IEMR has built our ONEConsumer Panel from the ground up. We did this first and foremost to meet our own research needs, not to sell panels to our clients. The resulting recruitment process is therefore very specific to the telecoms and IT industries and the quality of the panel is much higher than any panel that can be provided by a generalist panel or survey company.
Our Focus on Recruitment
IEMR takes the job of recruiting and retaining our panelists very seriously. The ONEConsumer Panel is core to the production of some of the largest telecoms and IT databases and forecasts in the world, published by a market leader in the telecoms and IT market research space.
We have partnerships with more than 100 of the top
content providers that cater to the telecoms industry to
recruit our panelists
We have a “Double Opt-In” process to confirm enrollment
Our process includes an 8-point validation check to
prevent professional survey takers from inflating surveys
Our panel is based on a tight incentives system where we
actually limit how many surveys a panelist takes in any
Real incentives valued at $25 - $250 per year in redeemable points are offered to panelists
Our Focus on Retention
Retaining high-quality panelists is where most panel providers fail. Can you really call it a “panel” if the churn rate of panelists is over 50%?
Unlike general panel providers who will bombard their panelists with dozens of surveys per month based on their clients’ needs, our philosophy behind the Global Consumer Telecoms and IT Panel is to focus on quality. We do this by:
Guaranteeing panelists receive a maximum of only twelve (12)
survey invites per year
These surveys are Omnibus surveys and proprietary to IEMR. They form the backbone of IEMR’s own telecoms industry research
In exchange for completing only four surveys, panelists are provided incentives between $25 - $250 in redeemable vouchers for travel and accommodations
Compare this to literally dozens of survey invites from generalist panel providers which effectively turns-off panelists from ever taking their surveys. For client surveys, we implement an “Over-the-Top”
methodology. Depending on client needs, respondents are
opted out if they do not qualify.
