So what is IEMR’s Forecast?
Total wireless subscriber accounts in the Netherlands to reach 22.6 million in 2014
• We forecast that total wireless subscribers in the Netherlands will increase from 20.6 million in 2009 to 22.6 million in 2014.
• KPN Mobile will continue to be the largest mobile operator in the Netherlands and we forecast that its subscriber base will increase from 10.5 million in 2009 to 11.9 million in 2014.
• According to our model, Vodafone's subscribers will also increase from 4.57 million in 2009 to 5.17 million in 2014 while Ben (T-Mobile)'s subscriber base remains at around 5.47 million over the next five years.
KPN Mobile's subscriber market share will be increasing over the next five years
• KPN Mobile will continue to lead the Netherlands in market shares. Our model predicts that its share of total subscribers will increase from 51.3% in 2009 to 52.9% in 2014.
• Also, we expect that Vodafone's market share will increase from 22.2% to 22.9% while Ben (T-Mobile)'s market share declines from 26.6% to 24.2% over the forecast period, 2009 - 2014.
Vodafone will continue to receive the highest ARPU level in the country
• Our forecasting model predicts that the industry average monthly ARPU level in the Netherlands will decrease from €27.12 in 2009 to €25.68 in 2014.
• Vodafone will continue to receive the highest ARPU level in the country, and we expect that its monthly ARPU will be approximately €34 in 2014.
• We expect that ARPU levels at KPN Mobile and Ben (T-Mobile) will be much lower than Vodafone's, declining to €23.55 and €22.68 respectively by the end of 2014.
